Wiggly - If I give you a cherry, the least you could do is spit the pit back into my bowl so's I can suck on it later, and you don't have to poke me in the eye with the stem

Waking to Wiggly, early morning dream songs we wish to continue but the alarm has stopped them. Fortunately they are recorded and can be heard again. Going to start with the fourth track "Guttertune", a gluey melody reaching back to the civil war, then re-written by Kris Kristofferson and finally coming to fruition on this composition. And this is the shortest selection on the cassette... Where to begin a description after this? Wiggly is a mystery. Beginning with any reference to who's project this is and finishing with lovely flowing current of sounds to deep for any genre fishing nets to bring up.

The title of this cassette is something to talk about, but i don't want to go into some tangent making frivolous connections.  It is funny title and other than this being the longest title ever posted on this site, that is all that will be said. The eight tracks composing this release have a beautiful congruence. From "Bunnyrabbit" kicking off with electric guitar and holding off vocals until the "Spies of the Forest" come out placing Wiggly's dreamy pop en-devour into context. Ah... there was a genre used as description, but going back to "Guttertune", civil war song (folk at this time point) and Kris Kristofferson (songwriter songwriter). So three genres have been used for conveyance and here is a fourth... The second track "Undershine" has a little Residents feel, not so much the music, but the vocal style surfaces memories. The overall longer track lengths let songs like "Everlasting Life" establish nourishing melodic grooves and "Strangeface Rant" blossom into prismatic sonic flowers. Everything gently turning on the 60's artwork styled mobile hanging behind the sunlit window.

Released on Cavern Brew Records from Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey. Very limited edition of thirty or so. This is a fact to the point Cavern Brew Records has crossed pen and paper with Lost in a Sea of Sound early this year with Patrick Totally / Héloïse Schumacher - International Kissing Day and in 2019 with Derek Piotr - Live in Denton. The second fact is this Wiggly composition has been mastered by Angel Marcloid, who is an expert in bringing sounds together. Other than Wiggly noting Kansas City on their bandcamp page and this possibly being their first physical release, the gorgeous playing, singing and songwriting is all that is known... And copies are currently available.
