BBJR + SLW - Discount Sacrifice At The Altar Of Bargains

"The fix is in" on two prolific musicians from Iowa. Bob Bucko Jr. and Samuel Locke Ward work together to create a genre expanding Original Soundtrack Recording for a movie yet to come, but there are videos! Discount Sacrifice At The Altar Of Bargains pulls together individuals with a passion for expressing joy for life and having fun. This is easily seen and heard in their love of music and abounding friends. But, in this en devour, Bob and Samuel deliver a little more sonic heavy, think Jesus Christ Superstar or The Wall. This composition sides on the grandeur sonic theater. A place where song writing and performing saturates listeners with intensity, pulling them away from daily contracts.

With eight tracks around forty minutes in time, Discount Sacrifice At The Altar Of Bargains travels the farthest spectrum of real harmonic craftsmanship. Lucky Break is the first and longest track. A dizzying guitar driven lament for getting f'd over, no lucky break after all. A realization clearly expressed in sound through the psychedelic haze of disappointment. Drift in the Void is a beautiful selection with sweet guitar playing and even sweeter singing. A song that exemplifies how good Bob and Samuel are in more of a mainstream approach to music. This thought deviates quickly with the next track Flee. Higher level operatic emancipation for listeners to experience and enjoy. This is an excellent track, but the favorite for me follows. Titled Glory Days, Bob plays contemplative guitar while Samuel tells the story of high school popularity decomposes over time, only to be rediscovered with a random connection of passion. Fortunately this coupled endured tediously unfulfilled lives and did not die in a car crash as a result of their Teen Love. Every track on Discount Sacrifice At The Altar Of Bargains is just a little different from the last, making this release well worth the time to listen. This is not background music though, really take the time to hear how sensational these songs are.

Released on Already Dead Tapes and Records in an edition of seventy five. Cassettes are available, but Discount Sacrifice At The Altar Of Bargains is very recent and will not last long for physical copies.
