somesurprises & supercandy - Some Candy

Some Candy, a Crash Symbols split cassette taking title from artists and their projects.

Dreams.... Ethereal paths through a world flickering from congruence. Follow the sounds of somesurprises. Soft voices delicately balanced on heavy bass strings, like the outline of birds in a silhouette produced by the sun. Radiance from vast spaces above, Natasha El-Sergany sings in harmony with slight distortion as her canvas. Music funneled through dimensional genres, ambient pop quirkiness crumbling as each note is tread. Beautiful music in free fall with pushed gently by sentimental tones.

The reverie continues on the flip side with supercandy. Pulling from sonic strands of past sounds, each track bringing thoughts of nostalgia. Brenan Chamber swirls in, lifitng the listening world. A focused composition, creating a soundtrack for refined movement through life. Sparse vocals after the opening track, the remaining selections perfectly varied degrees of sound and tempo. Ambient, pop, a hallucinogenic implosion of influences and emotions.

Released in the middle of February in an edition of one hundred and fifty. Currently only twenty copies remain. This split pairs really well, Crash Symbols knows how to connect the aural world.
