Cofradia De Los Herederos Del Vino - II

The years have gone by. Cofradia De Los Herederos Del Vino have roamed the country side collecting sonic curiosities and harmonic oddities. For seven years the brotherhood has traveled, gathering again, under the outcropping of rock deep within the forest. Fire begins burning brightly, slowly focusing in on deep brilliant orange. An instrument commences to tell the tale of the wandering time. A soliloquy unfolds, the group still at slight unfamiliar odds with being whole again. Sounds eventually unfurl, each member opening up to share their experiences. Some with traditional classic instruments, others unleashing field recordings from their time out and then there is voice. Chants and songs, mystery from encounters, the entire fire lit evening becoming tranquilly hallucinogenic.

Seven years ago Lost in a Sea of Sound had the pleasure to listen and describe the first release from Cofradia De Los Herederos Del Vino. This new release simply titled II is equally as splendid. Although there is similar construct to both Cofradia De Los Herederos Del Vino releases, the newest composition is far more raw and beautifully enigmatic. The group of Gabriella, Karim, Miguel and Tomas have shed their desire to make music, they have become the sounds within music. These selections could be haunting for some, but they are collected energy from a abstract collage of time and place. Procurement from higher conscious vibrations after returning from the metaphysical expanse.  A beautiful recording and worth all the time to explore.

Released by Cofradia De Los Herederos Del Vino in a very limited run of forty four cassettes. Copies are currently available and will ship from London. Purple shelled tapes within gorgeously printed maltese cross boxes. The artwork is very fitting and equally as vibrant as the sounds.
