Rambutan - Liminal Realities

The gravity of Liminal Realities is heavy. Molten sounds of turbulent electronic distortion traveling beneath a lofty world of radiant energy. Introspective can only begin to describe how thought provoking these two long selections are. Listening causes the dissection of the world around us, following the primal pathway into the core of consciousness. Rambutan wields sonic energies from forgotten times. Mysterious rituals from secluded clearings deep with the forest. Human ears have never heard... until now as Liminal Realities takes omnipotent shape.

Eric Hardiman is Rambutan. This newest composition is two lengthy side long tracks exploring rumbling aural landscapes from past super continents. Sounds from worlds come and gone with slightly dark and ominous overtones. Drone burned under dense radiation in an ozone-less atmosphere. Cycles of life slipping by like blurred images from H.G. Wells' Time Machine. Almost expect the Morlocks to have some part in these deep tunnels of sonic flow. The use of bird calls gives Liminal Realities connections to Mesozoic times and strongly pulls an otherworldly feeling into play. This is especially apparent on the second side titled "No Time for Hyperbole". A beautiful piece with primordial emotions fueled by galactic essence. Really diggin' on this composition!

An October 2022 cassette release in a very limited run of forty seven. Copies are currently available from the Rambutan bandcamp page. Nice to hear Eric go so deep on Liminal Realities, extra patient and extra special.
