Death Pyre - Concatenation
Death Pyre is a project collaboration between Death Factory (Michael Krause) and Ampyre (Mimi Tolva & George Matt Bowles). All artists with lengthy tenures in the Chicago area playing live over many years. There is not to much information on this recording other than "Recorded at Experimental Sound Studio in Chicago, IL by Ralph Loza Mix, master and art by George Matthew Bowles". These sounds are industrial and heavy with a lurking feeling of full ignition, but at the same time they are reserved. The ominous ethereal vocals in some sections, the free sonic foundations, and the ever present disruption all tilt towards a stygian core. Concatenation is not a rhythm pounding bleak industrial showdown, this is a subtle sonic preview of the chaos in the afterlife.
Released on Public Eyesore Records in a limited cassette run. Copies are currently available from the label.
