taylorshit.net - Mango Coconut Habanero

Connected conscious, a relative thought many times unconsidered when listening to music. A duo or band lives and breathes these connections every time they work together. In the description of taylorshit.net, they multiply connected conscious by thirty two. Close to three dozen members living spaced out across the country and working on one composition from their remote locations. Now they have made a new tie with thirty two plus. Another part of the collective, not helping to create music, but hopefully bringing more minds into an awareness state.

The first descriptive note i read about taylorshit.net was from their bandcamp bio, mentioning being known for playing at the International Noise Conference in Miami. In talks with a good friend in Hollywood, Florida, this music gathering has been in discussion many times before. I have always thought this is the Mecca for the most loudest and harsh noise. Mango Coconut Habanero makes this thought an idea to completely reconsider. Expectations to be decimated by thirty two people annihilating sonic mediums were never actuated. Instead, eleven well crafted selections pushing melodies, beats, samples and some noise flow in sonic space. All interwoven to make a fluid and very polished album. Ah, but what is gleamed for my listening enjoyment might be a little different for the next listener. Mango Coconut Habanero having moments of clarity and focus, tethered with field recordings and the drone of wobbling energy is exactly the recipe that hears the best for me. There is a little patience involved with listening, but this is the element producing the greatest reward. So with a pen instead of an instrument and some rambling thoughts connected together, hopefully those reading and then continuing exploration to listen will hear how adept this project is.

Self released by taylorshit.net in an extremely limited edition of twenty five handmade cassettes. The beauty of the physical purchase is a complete other composition on the A side titled "Lickin' the Airplane Toilet bc I'm Gross Like That". This album is a little more noisy than Mango Coconut Habanero, but not a noise bomb at all. The sounds from both compositions are filled with experience and creativity that push to the fringe, but there is an enjoyment there that is comfortably digested.
Mango Coconut Habanero is also a hot sauce the band created. Not sure if the hot sauce is available to order, but the cassettes certainly are for a while.
