Drekka - The Water of Life
In forgotten places and moments of time, residual energy grows outward. The movement of life steadily propels forward as discarded sonic molecules accumulate. This unperceived presence of aural enigmas slowly and most fervidly traverse chronological constraints. Sounds almost imperceptibly suffuse through dreams and become transparent in the depths of conscious awareness. This purposefully droning audible darkness is the collective unremembered tribulation, swirling in the underbelly of thoughts.
The Water of Life was recorded live at a performance on Monument Circle in Indianapolis on September 28th of 2015. Mkl Anderson is the creativity behind the very long running Drekka project. This composition was a concept album for Frank Hebert's Dune novel. The title referring to the hallucinogens or poison a sandworm exhales when it drowns. Hauntingly beautiful sounds from start to finish on this composition by Drekka. Very impressed with this love and thought for science fiction and one of the masterpieces of all time.
Released on Orb Tapes from Pennsylvania in a cassette edition of seventy five. Copies are available from the label or from Drekka's bandcamp page.
