Peter Kris / Hyacinth. - Swimming In A Sea Of Sand

Peter Kris turning the dial slightly towards germinal tranquility on the first side of Swimming In A Sea Of Sand while Hyacinth. slowly breaths radiant heat from terrestrial fissures on the second. Together, Peter Kris and Hyacinth. (Ryan Durfee) compose a sublimely Arcadian split cassette on the Suite 309 label. The two sides are perfectly different entities of sound, decompressed guitar melodies flipping to depth filled drone. Both artists using creative thoughts from a world changed by flamed fulled extinction and both artists fully versed in sounds from a stunning aural cosmos.

With both sides well over the twenty minute mark, Swimming In A Sea Of Sand holds a weighty amount of sonic opiates. Peter Kris' tone on this composition is reflective and pondering. Seven tracks of  guitar passages with the substantiality of life fervently removed and hopefully beginning again. Sounds are very touching and work well with many feelings within. The Hyacinth. side is two long tracks working drone pieces. If drone was divided between dark and light, ominous and uplifting, both Hyacinth. selections are slightly tilted towards the more desolate side. A full immersion of breath and spirit actualizing physical existence and it's frailty.

Cassettes released in an addition of one hundred on the Suite 309 label out of Cleveland. An excellent split between two well grounded artists. If you have not experienced either, a beautiful place to start.
