Urine Hell / NÜDE - SPLIT

There is a unique Chicago sound that is fire and this split tape by Urine Hell and NÜDE are fueling parts of this combustible energy. More of an EP or sampler, three tracks by Urine Hell and two by NÜDE, quickly over before you want these sounds to end. With descriptive words like metal, sludge, industrial and hardcore, the imagination could think sound extremes. This is definitely loud, fast, turbulent, explosive and always on the radical edge but nothing is overdone. Both Urine Hell and NÜDE have a refinement to their compositions making this a sonic sovereignty free from many genre compartments. The sound divide between both projects is significant but not out of place on a split cassette. Urine Hell has a driving rhythm, clear focus on vexed guitar and drums, story telling spoken world intertwined with guttural vocals. NÜDE is a sonic explosion in slightly slower motion. A swirl of guitar and drums creating a mire of sound for tormented vocals calling out. Heavy radioactive feedback and piercing sounds on both sides, certainly causing some form of mental impairment when listened with any volume. This is good aural medicine.

Released on Already Dead Tapes and Records in an edition of one hundred. This run of blue shelled cassettes sold out very quickly. Already Dead has issued a second edition of red shelled tapes and they are currently available.
