Man Rei - Doer
The consonance of aural tranquility settles like a cloud condensing in our conscious. Doer is a melodic serape both providing and retaining serene warmth to those listening. The sounds within transform from nostalgic whispers across the separation of time and lofty canticles hidden in the recesses of civilization's construct. Man Rei possesses the most subdued and magnificently sublime aura, holding place in the most personal and majestic settings simultaneously. This composition tilted Doer is sonic intravenous therapy for the fractured and splintered spirit.
Man Rei is the project of Kristin Reiman based in Frankfurt. This composition was written and then recorded in 2021. A lengthy time period for the world to plunge deeply into introspection and empathy. With ten selections around the forty minute mark, Man Rei holds gorgeous focus. The absolute fluidity of Doer is enough to project this composition to revered distinction, but these sounds possess a quality even more desired. For as august as Doer comes across, there is never a moment of being pushed, forced or over done. A raw simplicity is maintained from start to finish, as if this is not a composition at all but merely a beautiful lullaby from the warmest heart we can imagine. This is not said without many repeated listens, because Doer most thankfully eludes written description.
Released on Crash Symbols in an edition of one hundred and fifty. Cassettes are currently available from the label. And for the first time ever (i think), Crash Symbols has included a custom pencil, sea blue with Doer printed in metallic pink. The pencils are from a company with more than hundred years in production, the Musgrave Pencil Company in Shelbyville, TN.
