Kyle Bruckmann - DUTY CYCLE | ACTIVE CULTURES

Kyle Bruckmann with only a brief pause from the last release titled USAGE on Already Dead. A much appreciated continuation of the sickest grooved out rhythms and beats your ears drums will pulsate to. This newest release, about one year in time span from USAGE, is two albums on one cassette. The first side contains nine selection and is titled DUTY CYCLE. On the flip side of the tape is ACTIVE CULTURES with seven selection in total. Together, these compositions tally over eighty minutes of sounds. The two sides are different creatures though. DUTY CYCLE is much more like USAGE. A manufacturing plant blurring with machinery in motion. A fantastic orchestration of complex forging, the resulting commotion is the delightful syncopation of industrial clamor. Moving to ACTIVE CULTURES, the sounds change into something even more raw, Kyle Bruckmann tackles aural mechanics showing the elaborate tuning of his sonic structures. The easily discernible rhythms and beats are gone for the most part. Lost in a place beyond our present reality, a place where listening constitution is the only tether back through the dimensional rift. These sounds are for noise specialists and music scholars.

As mentioned, DUTY CYCLE | ACTIVE CULTURES is an Already Dead Tapes and Records release in a very limited cassette edition of only sixty. For only being out for a couple weeks, there are only two physical copies remaining at the time of this description. Don't wait on this one. Kyle Bruckmann is on the creative edge and many listeners are feeling it.
