Exploding Skull is the project of New York based artist Peter Joseph. The new release titled Coyote is a nine selection guitar submersion under an aural sea of electric notes and pressurized feedback. The sense of weightlessness is balanced with a rich molecular warble reaching far into the material being. Exploding Skull is subtle, gentle passages played through a decomposing medium. At times a listener may consider their playback device is having issues. This is the beauty of Coyote, an eroded sonic world where the environment is gorgeously askew. Raw, tranquil, captivating, Peter Joseph has excellent understanding of concept and technique. This composition is diverse and fluid, time spent listening transports thoughts into a world we seldom visit. Exploding Skull has most exquisitely set everything in high accord.
