Blood Rhythms - Sea of Red

Took a little break from describing sounds but have been listening over the same amount of time. Sea of Red has been in rotation for a few months now. The first word that comes to mind is impressive. Sounds centered around Arvo Zylo's influence have a possibility of pressurized sonic extremes. Within Sea of Red, there are moments of noise explosions, sounds waves enveloping thoughts and clashing cacophony sinking deep into the conscious. Much of the tumultuous sonic pressure is held within two consecutive tracks, "Necessity Is the Motherfucker of All Invention" and "Beginner's Minefield". Almost twenty minutes between both of these selections leaving over seventy minutes of diverse aural paths. Yes, Sea of Red is a mammoth body of work, ninety plus minutes, with a large group of artists contributing....

Jarboe, Leslie Keffer, Emil Beaulieau, Dave Phillips, Nick Andren, Jacob DeRaadt, David Oakspawn, Hal McGee, Justin Lazar, Scott Scholz, Dan of Earth, Michael Thomas Jackson, Walter Campbell, Sharkiface, Taro Tamaki, Arvo Zylo.

The beauty of this composition is patience and restrain over the the entire course of the album. A droning ambience, the grandeur of aural vistas hearing sounds expand to gently mutate over the distant horizon. Much of Sea of Red is passively disturbed mellifluent vibrations. Places where harmony and chaos converge, sharing a newly discovered radiance for all who listen. When listening to this Blood Rhythms edition, there is a feeling, understanding or connection for the beauty resting beneath the turbulence. Sea of Red is a wonderful beginning if this a newly discovered path and magnificent edition to the iterations of the past if you have been following all along.
