Sobbing Honey - Mellela (true stereo)

With so many projects by artists, from two joining forces to a group, reading a name for a new release might not signify the experience and weight of the artists behind the title. With this new release on Already Dead, Sobbing Honey fits this description. Composed of Grant Capes and Mike Meanstreetz, their new composition titled Mellela "in true stereo", holds exponential decades of experience, creativity and beauty. The sounds within exist in their own continuum. Captivating, haunting, sparkling with a sinuous sonic refraction and the power to induce a deep trance in fertile thought. Mellela is a mysterious composition commanding desired attention.

Looking at what is out there, Mellela could technically be the third release by Sobbing Honey. The first, a live recording on a split with Small Drone Orchestra still available on cassette through Mike Meanstreetz's bandcamp page. The second release was on Eric Hardiman's Tape Drift Records, a CDr titled Under The Shade of Malady. Also still available for purchase through the Rambutan bandcamp page. A small amount of buildup for the Sobbing Honey project, but both previous releases are really impressive. This does not begin to touch the extensive amount of sonic creation and production of both Grant and Mike's extensive histories. Focusing on Mellela, the sounds within echo with time and space. Thoughts cast high above the physical grade, hearing the vivid heaviness of a world shrouded in both burgeoning life and slow decay.

Released on Already Dead Tapes and Records in a cassette edition of one hundred. Two side long tracks filled with a special sonic heavy. A beautiful composition with repeated listens on a desired loop.
