Sansyou - Spaces In Between

Thoughts of cross country trips, a world to explore with the windows down and the radio louder than the wind. There is a nostalgic feeling permeating through Spaces In Between. Innocent melodies free from darker timber and forced avant-garde presentation. Sansyou has rested on radiant songwriting with gorgeous energized melodies and alluring reposeful vocals. The following isn't really a comparison in music but more of a feeling Spaces In Between evokes. There were a couple of albums from the past, Aztec Camera's High Land, Hard Rain and the same titled Penguin Cafe Orchestra, that are exceptional examples of this sweet ambiance Spaces In Between ruminates with. A short composition with only six selections. The line up for this Sansyou release includes Kelli Miyahira with vocals on three tracks, of course David Nicholas playing guitar, Kelli Scott on drums and producer Jarrett Nicolay also contributing bass, keys and more drums. A much changed group with the exception David Nicholas and Kelli Scott from the last release titled True North Coast, also described here at Lost in a Sea of Sound. Spaces In Between is due to release next week with options of three physical formats, cassette (listening to now), compact disc, and limited clear tinted vinyl at 45rpm speed. Prepossessing sounds that will delight many listeners.
