Night Foundation - Let There Be Light

Lost in the ambient reflections of sparkling melodies and the undertow of weighty currents. Let There Be Light effortlessly heaves contemplative tranquility like sleeping giants breathing in a deep sleep. Morning twilight, the conscious refreshed, the world stirs just a little. The day is anew, thoughts and feelings have been released from the construct of events just the night before. An inner grin shines within the energy we manifest. Possibilities are infinite once again. This composition gently carries us on a new path, we float, move with long strides and tiptoe in precarious places. Each track a miniature sonic vignette for the awakening hours to come.

Night Foundation is the solo project of Richard Vergez. Let There Be Light contains seven tracks of electronic haven for the spirit to rejuvenate. The rhythms flicker in and out of blissful ambient haze and focused laser light steps. The first track titled "Arrival" sends thoughts to a most wonder album by SPK titled  Zamia Lehmanni (Songs Of Byzantine Flowers ), specifically the fifth track "In Flagrante Delicto Into". Let There Be Light only rests with this comparison for a moment. The following title track "Let There Be Light" is filled with uplifting particles of spiritual direction. Something i think SPK never ventured towards. So within an instant Richard Vergez has pulled consciousness in angles of different direction and will continue to do so throughout this composition. These currents of sonic introspection stay fluid and focused. Night Foundation is a delightfully solid listen from start to finish and holds repeat listening value at the highest level. Beautiful patience allowing minds to breathe and hearts to rest.

Released by the Michigan label Flophouse in a very limited edition of thirty seven. There are only six physical copies left at the time of this description. Most of the previous Night Foundation releases are sold out, so don't wait if you are interested. Oh... Flophouse gives all of their releases artful love... Let There Be Light has a holographic insert with overlaid print on clear material. Looks excellent in person!
