Black Tempel Pyrämid - Teotihuacán

Ripples in the water create a focal point of motion in the still and humid surrounding world. We look to see this disturbance moving, but stationary in the vast expanse of watery shoreline. The dense aural warmth of Teotihuacán is like this description, a heavy press of sonic weight that sometimes shares inviting paths to the inner sanctum. The oscillation from our evolutionary presence, the infinite factors contributing to this, and then the push forward into into the expanse of energy we will all one day go... this is the beauty of Teotihuacán.

Black Tempel Pyrämid is the project of Patrick Pärk. Another facet of his prolific sonic creativity which has developed to include support of the Pärk Family Orchestre. In relation to Patrick's other projects, Black Tempel Pyrämid seems different. Kind of like Robert Rich and Alio Die listened to Kraftwerk's Ralf & Florian album followed by Test Dept.'s A Good Night Out. The pull of ambient into a driven world of rhythm and percussion. But summarizing Teotihuacán based on comparisons is just a fun thing to think about, and not accurate in the least. The six tracks on this composition change tempo and style while standing firmly embedded in the roots of geological features and civilizations past. Listeners are treated to a autumnal equinox celebration, the subsidence of burning radiance and the beginning of the growth of night. Teotihuacán treads in ambient tranquility, surges upwards with driving tempos and then falls back into the shadowy depths of beautifully curved rock formations in the cold of winter.

Teotihuacán is a hand numbered CDR release in a very limited edition of fifty. This composition was released at the same time of  Black Tempel Pyrämid's Ancient Hymns & Incantations cassette. Both compositions can be purchased separately or together on the Black Tempel Pyrämid bandcamp page.
