Matt LaJoie - Mother Hum

The colors of nature are elusive entities. Difficult to impossible to replicate and resting outside of words to describe. Eyes see infinite shades of green within the smallest lush area. Bursting from this tangled density are prismatic vibrant bouquets calling the air above. Flying pollinators cross a sea of kinetic colors to land on only one. Eyes and pheromone receptors in an ageless process humans can describe the function of, but have no words to convey the intensity evolution has achieved. The music of Matt LaJoie holds attributes to the flourishing process outlined above. The description of the instrument Matt LaJoie plays and the chords or key he plays in can be relayed, but words are not ready to elicit descriptions of the inner sound being shared. This is a feeling we experience, a feeling that will be somewhat different for all of those who listen.

Between the nexus of energy deep within the core and it's cosmic source, their rests crystalized beauty. Infinitely faceted formations formed by physical pressures of our shared planet. Mother Hum connects with natural energy from sources like this. A stable energy repeating itself in ethereal drone like drift, a tranquil constant in a world shifting around us. Four tracks in a fluid delivery, thoughts focus, become lost and then reshape at higher vibrations. These sounds wrap the spirit with tethers to existence beyond the mortal coil. Sonic solace for those who listen, imparting feelings of connectivity to everything around us. Mother Hum is dancing white noise for souls to flourish.

Released on Distant Bloom in cassette format. There are only seventy six copies in this edition. Counting up all the bandcamp supported by photo squares, Mother Hum tapes will be sold out very soon.
