Quintelium - Moonwaves
Sounds defying descriptive words. A special moment while listening to music, augmented by repeated plays and still the same haze of something to write. Moonwaves is this composition. An absolute pleasure to absorb, fluid and ultimately diverse all the way through. A sticker burr when the pen begins channeling thoughts to paper. Every time the opening and longest track "Kosmik Oyster" finishes, there is a brief instance of expressive cohesion, only to tumble away with the slower burn of "Murky Halls".
The change in cadence from rhythm to ambient serenity is the essence of Moonwaves. With raw radiance, Quintilian has gently sauteed this conscious. A toss of electronic pulsating current to the slow simmer of melding drone, all driven by an open flickering flame. The worldliness of these selections permeates with subtle beauty. Quintilian pulling sonic energies from a planet filled with rich history and uncharted future. Moonwaves is a singularity funneling a spectacularly dense aural dimension into a form we can most delightfully enjoy. The last track "Nova Potentia" is the perfect bookend to where everything started and melted through.
Released on cassette by Ephem-Aural. Physical copies are currently available from the label. Moonwaves is Quintelium's second release. Check out Memory Horizon on the label Kaiseki Digital for a more meditative shimmer.
