Stunning sounds from Colin Andrew Sheffield. An aural wheat field radiating sublime ethereal sounds. They sky above cast in saturated purple hues, beautiful and foreboding simultaneously. These sounds are the the light wind of the halcyon twilight. A moment to listen and understand the ephemeral allurement of an arcadian day gone by and the desired possibility of more in time's steady crawl. But within this saturated melodic contentment rest tonal undercurrents of something unfathomable. A hum droning in the conscious of tranquility's deciduous state. Unseen black clouds forming in a moonless sky, lurking dark storms with potential cyclonic activity. Colin Andrew Sheffield's Moments Lost pushes towards spiritual extrinsic serenity but pulls slightly more in the direction of corporeal sorrowfulness. As said with the first word in this paragraph, a stunning duality of sonic creativity.
Moments Lost will release on compact disc on October 4th, 2024. This will be the newest edition of Wroclaw, Poland's Sublime Retreat label. The compact discs are unique with the outer portion being transparent. Like a mini cd (80mm) embedded into a clear cd (120mm). The Cover images are from a short film by Colin Andrew Sheffield and the entire design is by Rutger Zuydervelt. Making this even more complete is the mastering down by Lawrence English. Basically, every aspect of Moments Lost from the sounds within to the beautiful art and physical presentation is at the highest level.
