Ynnad Zednanref - Summer Scaries

Smiling listening to Summer Scaries, while at the sonic gym in a full circuit workout for the conscious. The brain burn is intense, at least for the opening track "Reach". Quickly after the initial onslaught of static, feedback and towering noise, Summer Scaries finds rhythm. These sounds are still raw though, the beat a degenerating ghost of fuzzy radio waves. Interestingly, with the fifth track "Furbeeoke" the decomposing theme is a chiptune epic soundtrack for a lost video game. The sonic format rapidly vanishes and any measure of music dissipates leaving the emptiness to wandering noises on the creative fringe. "Wizard Dose" is a pondering march through an aural wasteland. A foray into the juxtaposed realm of creation and destruction in simultaneous acclaim. Ynnad Zednanref is a master of this quality, building and destroying sounds side by side. Summer Scaries is not for novice listeners, solid sonic constitutions are needed to proceed through the listening experience. An attribute that tremendously helps to positively hear the beauty bubbling within the tumultuous aural cauldron.
