BBJr - The Antique Heartbeat

Bob Bucko, Jr bends around sound like and atmosphere around a planet. Sonic waves radiate outward, then collected, distributed, reorganized, created upon, processed and made new. From working with countless artists to working on his own accord, BBJr is a complex hub of an extremely diverse and always changing music landscape.

With this composition titled The Antique Heartbeat, BBJr has harnessed sounds from a vintage canine heart monitor. Not sure of all the inner workings to arrive at the final production but this is an incredibly cool and striking release. There is a raw industrial aspect when focused on individual moments. More exquisite is the overall fluid feel, warm, thought out, somehow BBJr has infused melodic creative aural nostalgia. Sometimes reminiscent of Mark of the Mole or some Fourth World, Vol. 1: Possible Musics. The ties into the greater collective with current poignant creativeness, makes The Antique Heartbeat very special. The difference from then and now is the subtle edge BBJr is always delivering. In the past, this edge was achieved with all the effort be to get there. Now Bob Bucko, Jr on The Antique Heartbeat holds back from a place he could easily be, instead delivering music with reserve and understanding of a wider listening audience.
