VODE - Zone Children
There is a rumble exuding from deep within of all things. The droning atomic buzz of electrons turning orbits in infinite arrays while an influx of woven spiritual energy breathes heavy. This composition titled Zone Children is an aural respiration of dense patterns. The intricacies, sonic sources, the mediums of origin, substantial to the point of blurring into one aural landscape. VODE is the ongoing project of Leslie Keffer and Arvo Zylo. Long time friends and experienced musicians, they have interwoven their expertise to compose an electronic noise album with a like minded creativity. Four selections ladling up the deepest and darkest sonic currents. Molten rock wrought with dark radiance, mesmerizing and dizzying tribal drums, the emptiness of the cosmos from a moonlit glen and a cathedral quickly drawing in pipe organ sounds from it's inception. These are thoughts from the first four selections on Zone Children. The fifth selection is a unique rendition of Townes Van Zand's I'll Be Here In The Morning sung by Arvo Zylo and lifted to angelic space by Leslie Keffer's voice. This is a special treat being completely different from many of both artist's previous works.
