Modern Silent Cinema - Surveillance Film

Modern Silent Cinema is gearing up for another batch of releases on the Bad Channels label. The title of the composition in focus here is Surveillance Film. Nineteen selections with a complete array of veracity and mood. The entire album is an Original Motion Picture Soundtrack to Surveillance Film, with the selection Civitas the most turbulent part of the production. Just before there are two shorter tracks, Medius and the first half of Detritus, warm ups for the chilling, almost six minute Civitas. Amazingly and seamlessly, the following selection Annotata is a grooved out couch sinker and much appreciated in the sonic flow. Just a descriptive glimpse from deep within the soundtrack!

Modern Silent Cinema has worked with film maker Matt Barry on four occasions before making Surveillance Film a well seasoned addition to the heart of it's visual companion. The longest selection titled Operarios begins with guitar in European folk fashion. A ballad maybe? This melodic sixties physc burner is the opposite in feeling to Civitas later on down. Fittingly, the second longest selection is the finale, titled Solis Occasus, night has arrived with a rural streetlight center stage for the awakened insect humming barrage. The ensuing melody is piano backed and feels almost like everything is rewinding to start again. Sounds like backward notes but maybe that is just writing talk.

Surveillance Film will be released on Bad Channels Records in the beginning of December. Physical editions include compact disc and vinyl. Found the movie on youtube as well, here
