Nandele - Kampfumo
Deep within the sonic materialization of creative craftsmanship, aural warp and weft threads are woven in mysterious accord. Nandele has shared a composition so subtly profound, the impact on the listener is tenuously elusive. Much of Kampfumo rest in phonic shadows. Places where activities shudder and spark, sounds drifting casually upwards like mist on morning water. Urban din from the city of Maputo has been prodigiously presented within the lengthy run of Kampfumo. Listening closely sinks thoughts deep within the subtle currents of this composition. A graceful radiance warms the conscious.
Kampfumo continues from start to finish in a seamless blur. Field recordings are blended with electronic clamor. Beautiful empty space rests close to creating a drone like canvas. Nandele using skillful patience as a serene foundation. Kampfumo is the sonic negative to the 2024 release titled Maputo on the UKs Human Endeavour label. These are the sounds behind the rhythms, places of origin, construct and introspective depth.
Released on cassette by Already Dead Tapes and Records. This is a very limited run of only fifty tapes. Kampfumo is the third release by Nandele Maguni described on Lost in a Sea of Sound. The first titled Plafonddeinst and the second titled 1994 are both sold out from Already Dead. Kampfumo will follow the same path very quickly.
