Rob Magill - Subtle Chaos
Pulled gently with sonic tethers. Saxophone and sitar, the purring motor for Rob Magill's new release titled Subtle Chaos. This intro is short lived plunging listeners to the buzzing sounds of a myriad of Moroccan rhaita horns. The tempo and temperament are impermanent, Rob Magill ratchets down composing ambient reflections for sustained Saxophone and electronics. The last portion of the second track is really gorgeous allowing a moment of breath in the soon to be Subtle Chaos again. The following two selections have feverish horns, echoing melodies, thoughtful beauty and voluptuousness. No order or patterns, this is chaos at its best.
Released on cassette by Variable Recordings out of Los Angeles, California. Not sure how physical copies are in this edition. Daniel Masiel contributed with electric sitar and Subtle Chaos was both mixed and mastered by Jehf Jones. Very nice composition that works on head space in a special way!
