The combination of talent included on Nebula Aranea #01 is a special collection. The difficulty in making a various artist album glow with fluidity has been easily assuaged. The first four tracks by Clarence Rise, Letherique, 2methyl and Drvg Cvltvre are like a meteor storm pummeling the outer atmosphere. There is not let up, disintegrating mass burning with massive releases of energy. A cosmic rainstorm with sonic droplets pounding the conscious into meditative oblivion. The last track on the first side by Jan Loup adds choral voice to the web of beats. This well chosen deviation connects the flip side start by Nocto. Another heavy pound of low frequency rhythm and ethereal vocals. Klusa Daba picks up the the various artist baton and speeds around the track like a comet in solar orbit. Sounds moving across thoughts so quickly trails are left in the head. Cosmic Drainage is Letherique's second track on this album. Like a pulsar spinning with such velocity, mystifying radio signals are all that can be detected. The frequency creating a reverie for listeners to expand thoughts in. An excellent transition for the chilled out Lloyd Stellar and a lengthy groove. Maïté is the following artist and holds the keys to the only chiptune starlight in the galaxy. A refreshing flight in a dense rhythmic world. Sonic Area ties everything together and ends this collection with courtly cadence. Disintegrating beats across an aural landscape of beauty and peril.
