David Shrigley & Lord Stornoway - Don't Worry

See the fires burn on the hill side, the space ships are coming into land. Aliens are welcome. It's all right, it's ok, don't worry. Thoughts are mixing with David Shrigley & Lord Stornoway. Tried moving the dog off his bed to take a nap, he growled, there was no vacancy. Don't sleep if you want to keep reading. I wish there was a button to press and feelings and thoughts would turn to written words, but then there would be no need for people to think and write. This would be sad since Don't Worry is way worth the time. Like who knew Slayer had twelve albums, and the best way to tackle armageddon is listening to records with a choice beverage. If you have read this far and it seems silly, it's ok.

Don't Worry contains fourteen tracks by David Shrigley & Lord Stornoway. All vocals are preformed by Lord Stornoway who is Iain Shaw, except for the track titled Gruelling Task. The only David Shrigley vocalized selection sounding like a documentary from Scotland with a slight tilt towards David Attenborough & Monty Python. Don't Worry takes hold of the world around us and makes it bearable. Poignant advice, observations and new questions to think about, most of everything flowing forth in mellifluous charm. There are a couple tracks abandoning this format, Hey Huge Man and Malicious Invective take a more rock & roll approach. These fourteen songs avoid the pitfall of being listen-ably abstruse, they maintain focused and welcoming cogitations on pleasantly obscure subjects. With the extensive amount of content on Don't Worry coupled with how agreeable the music is received, makes this composition one to keep on repeat. Maybe the next composition will answer the questions of, robot slave when will you spring to life and dinosaur egg when will you hatch?

Released on cassette by Already Dead Tapes and Records. This is in an edition of one hundred with copies currently available. There is a very good write up on Monorail Music's site, which is the copy used for description on bandcamp. This led to the discovery of a very limited pink vinyl edition on BQ. Copies of the record seem to be sold out from Monorail Music, there are some on Discogs, but all in Germany or the UK. So thank you Already Dead Tapes and Records for working with David and Iain. You have put Don't Worry on the radar in the states and make these excellently done tracks available for new listeners to enjoy.
