SiP/Prezzano - s/t

Melodies rich with creative energy. Focus is from a culture filled world creating sounds over generations. Ragas, gamelan and courtly music for king and queen are only a few of the thoughts these sounds will be your escort for. We listen in meditative states while a prismatic array of higher aural vibrations fills the spirit. Happiness in a sonic groove traveling through gardens of mushrooms and bright green moss. Rhythms suspended in crystal clear pools, turning like like schools of fish with seamless synchronicity. These sounds are sweet, the energy bestowed even sweeter.

This SiP/Prezzano composition is the combined work of Jimmy Lacy (synthesizers, drum box and percussion) and Pete Prezzano (modular synth and melodica). Four long tracks opening with bright sunlight and sparkling blue skies. The scene can be anywhere, a rocky outcropping laced with water following gravity's pull or a beach with hammocks swaying from towering palm trees. The second selection Thuringian Forest, is like a slow walk through a dense canopy of trees. Speckled sunlight dancing to the cadence of foot steps on the well traveled path. Details appear and dissolve like times erosive effect on everything around. Cathedral Blues starts the second side and is probably the most meditative selection on the composition. The melodies are timeless, pulling from drone and pre-folk, then gently settling rhythms drift in like clouds engulfing mountain tops. Seneca Falls is the last and also the longest selection. Of all tracks, this has the most pace, climbing into the atmosphere with a thrust of stored energy. Thoughts fill with worlds beyond, both mystery and wonder. A sense of nostalgia eventually settles, a beautiful odyssey has completed.

Released on Moon Glyph out of Portland, Oregon in an edition of one hundred and fifty. Copies are currently available from the label's bandcamp page.
