Pas Musique - Amateur Radio

With a few decades plus of sonic creativity, Pas Musique has worked itself deep back in the cave. Sonic bliss for a seasoned dwarf fighter, sounds cover all lifelong needs. The fire burning in a centuries old stone recess as diligent rhythms misted with electronics play like a waving punji. The world is as it should be with music built around potency and tranquility. Amateur Radio locks into driving rhythms, but refrains from causing chaos. Just a touch of flare from the seventies and eighties, then this swirling maelstrom of harmonic might pushes beyond the atmospheric pressure. We hear these sounds with the flickering of stars. Unimaginable energy as specs in the sky.

Amateur Radio is filled with electronic punch. This is the album you want to listen to while in motion. Four band members, Jon V. Worthley, Michael Durek, Jesse Fairbairn and Robert L. Pepper have tightened the music pathway to produce a plasma beam of experimental grooves. The pace, a slow gallop with heavy hooves laying rhythms all can attenuate with. Electronic fireworks held in check with wisdom and patience. Pas Musique has experience like a barista knowing when to go straight espresso then mini cappuccino. Just a little plant milk frothiness and  caffeine temperance to create thoughts of more to consume. As mentioned in the bandcamp notes, there is one cover on this album. Faust's "It's A Rainy Day, Sunshine Girl" is the only selection with vocals. The very cool aspect of this are the vocals by Jeanne-Marie Varain, the daughter of Faust member Jean-Hervé Peron. Jeanne (daughter) contributes on the Faust cover track with the only vocals on the Amateur Radio.

This is a beautifully done album on crafted on white vinyl by the Alrealon Musique label. Copies are currently available with both beautiful artwork on outer jacket and inner sleeve.
