Sneeze Awfull - Exercise #1

OK, let's listen to something doing a darn good job defying written description. From beats like the books and words like bongwater, a world of sounds fall together in gravitational decent. Only the beginning... Exercise #1 is in constant metamorphosis from selection to next selection. Fantastically, there is fluidity. In the debris filled current of sonic energy, a slow rumbling harmony reaches out. The band might laugh at this attempted portrayal of their sound, changing directions with one piece while this is being written. Like a pop explosion into something much heavier. Sneeze Awfull explores grooved out angles in the negativelands.

Stories.... there are many within this composition and more to get here. The core of this group is Ricki, Hunter and JF. These artists/musicians were hired to create a soundtrack for a horror movie being filmed in Pittsburgh. The movie production disbanded but the individuals taken on to create the score banded together. They continued to write music and play out in the Pittsburgh area. This brings the story to Exercise #1. The debut cassette release for Sneeze Awfull. Asking "what", teetering cacophony falling into sleepy lullabies. Listeners wake from sleep a apnea snort to see street lights blur from the inside of a vehicle on a drizzled night. From somewhere back in the van, Reid Magette reads a poem titled "wolff". Just after, the radio dial is turned and the glistening scenery outside the windows takes cloudy form.

Released on the label We Be Friends Records out of Brooklyn, New York. The cassette was released yesterday and copies are currently available.
