Clear Thing - Everywhere I Go

"The Wind is everywhere i go" is a chorus David Byrne would aspire to. Resting on hammocks swaying in the ocean breeze, the grooves on this song and every track in this entire composition are palm tree shade under a blazing blue sky. With gracious ease, Clear Thing drifts to the next track with equal sublime beats and rhythms. Lookaround is filled with even more of a seasoned Byrne vibe, intricate percussion and upbeat ethereal vocals tranquilizing listeners. But this is a little ahead of the start, The WInd and Lookaround are the first to tracks on the second side of this cassette. Titled "Everywhere I Go", Clear Thing pulls from a pallet of sonic nostalgia and creates something beautifully unique. The final track, The Way to Get Back has the same tones and tempo as the very first track Rampage, maybe i should have started there?

Ernest Gibson and Erik Frydenborg are the Los Angeles duo behind the project Clear Thing. This is their debut release on an edition of one hundred cassettes. So many really melodic selections on this composition. Superb song writing and musical prowess,  just wondering what Ernest and Erik love to listen to because Everywhere I Go drips with sentiment from the influences that crafted it. These immersions are vast since each selection seems to ignite with complete fluid diversity. The three tracks ending the first side, Au Naturel, Morro Bay and Escape Scene are the real testament to this. So beautifully different, yet fastened in harmonic continuity. Was wondering though, if either Erik or Ernest liked to spin B.A D.? Heard just a little hint on Au Naturel and Big Nightime. Just wondering :)

This release will be out on cassette in a month, February 3rd. Copies are up for pre-order on Clear Thing's bandcamp page. Have a strong feeling these sounds will gain notice and be of the momentum to sell physical copies out quickly.
