POLT. - While I Am Decaying Like A Rotten Thing, Like A Garment That Is Moth-Eaten

The day moves with hidden speed. Melodies from While I Am Decaying Like A Rotten Thing, Like A Garment That Is Moth-Eaten seem to slow this factor. Patient and tempered with a nostalgic rhythm of imperfect black and white photos from time past. There are connections to bands before, POLT. with a style from something they have enjoyed and found affinity for. Making these comparisons seems unnecessary, following a single thread in a completely red tapestry. Necessary is describing the feeling this composition helps achieve. Content, music allowing thoughts to move like clouds. Slowing traveling great distances and continuously changing shape along the edge. Eventually the whole picture becomes new, departing the origin and cause for creation.

While I Am Decaying Like A Rotten Thing, Like A Garment That Is Moth-Eaten holds six tracks within a thirty six minute run. The first selection "Soft Rime" uses spoken word in the background. A truck driver telling a story of travel in fresh snow. This is the only selection on the composition with words. Guitar and drums the entire way through with beautiful enigmatic effects adding delightful wonder. The cohesiveness from beginning to end make this composition so delightful to hear. POLT. Finds a groove during a day that constantly tries to speed away when your not paying attention. Thank you for slowing things down and making each moment important.

POLT. is Ezra W. and Ben M. from Seattle. There is not very much description regarding POLT. or this cassette titled While I Am Decaying Like A Rotten Thing, Like A Garment That Is Moth-Eaten. Looks like this is the debut physical release from the project. An edition of seventy five down to fourteen remaining at the time this is written.  Excellent music to build or wind down with. Love the raw and controlled temperament.
