Zebularin - Nachtarchiv

Ohh... i have been stuck... descriptive words are like the green text string from the Matrix. Just scrolling by without significant context. Or is it the undivided fact of continuing to repeat Zebularin's cassette titled Nachtarchiv? Not sure brain power can even process both artist and title at once? Zebularin is the project of double Daniels... Daniel Vujanic and Daniel Kartmann. They have crafted a composition of sonic brush strokes so delicate and then so thick, very difficult for a written description to capture. A rhythm flows deep and elusive though out Nachtarchiv. Like a sea monster, surfacing briefly for ears to follow, then submerging to leave thoughts a drift in the aural apocalyptic fervor. There are four tracks on this cassette and after listening so many times, bearings are still twisted and bent. Nachtarchiv is good, really good... these sounds escape all genres and arrive with an innocence, only children could manifest. But D.V. and D.K. are not children. The have somehow tapped into a sonic conduit reaching through both time and dimension. A paradox of purity and calamity. Where a child's keyboard rings like a bell and the underlying bass looks to severe your head... Writing this attempt at description might touch on aspects Nachtarchiv holds, but does little for bringing the sounds of Zebularin into singular focus. Decide by deeply listening, because that is where you will need to be for properly hearing Nachtarchiv.
