Optimal - Rolling Stock

The abyss is heard churning from distant places far from knowing. Creating a canvas or scaffolding for the sonic work of Optimal. Here, in the fore front of perception, is a velocity of sonic fervor seldom described by Lost in a Sea of Sound. These rhythms mirror molecular motion and those who truly tap into them stabilize with there construct. As a listener, digital hardcore recordings, ambient breakcore and ambient jungle, are sounds that escape experience. These descriptive words are from an aural tenderfoot, someone who can appreciate all the love and work in their composition, but with little knowledge of history in their making. With focus on hearing and absorbing the work by Paweł Starzec (Optimal), there is a raw an unfiltered sonic element over laid on epic canvas. In the foreground, rhythms and beats accelerated with otherworldly energy. These sounds seem to blister the conscious at first, but with repeat listens the developing spiritual callouses provides the wisdom of beginning to comprehend. There is one selection that seems to coast, "5am" and there are a few amorphous ambient tracks less beats, "Wasteland" and "Please Let Me Sleep". These selections issuing a change of pace allow Rolling Stock to hold favor as a well constructed composition. The fluidity within is well thought out and culminates with the final track "Metylphenidate", a selection that seems to hold all of the sonic values to this point.

Released on the Rope Worm label on CDr in an edition of one hundred. There is an Optimal t-shirt also available from the label. Both the CDr and t-shirt in all sizes are currently available.
