Matthew Pepitone - MP3

After reading the description for this new release titled MP3 on the Jollies bandcamp page, starting to wonder if a paragraph of words can really be sufficient. The creative artist Matthew Pepitone, used a long period of time to both record and compose these sounds. The process is explained very well within the bandcamp description. If a listener did not know how much skillfulness, experience and time went into the construct of MP3, thoughts will simply focus on the sounds and feel the composition evokes. Matthew Pepitone paints an aural landscape of swirling ambient winds. Melodies traveling through the vast emptiness of desert landscapes, into the spires of majestic architecture and transmitting deep into the cosmos. The seven lengthy selections on MP3 are diverse and effortlessly fluid. Thoughts rest in the meditative drone like setting of "Beautiful Scene Setting" and then unwind beside the sparkling movement of a gentle cascade of water in "Wish The Internet Went Down More Often". The world builds on the long track "Gemme II", a synthesizer blueprint of molecular framework and it's infinite connectivity. There are also rhythmic selections, "Had To Make Something On My Day Off", a soundtrack with a science fiction heart beat and the the lenient opening selection "Gemme I", faint footsteps leading listeners to the considerable creative output from Matthew Pepitone. Thoughtful and gorgeous, MP3 holds many moments of outward projection and inner reflection.
