Heavy Heavy Low Low - Pain Olympics
"Everything will be ok just as long as i disintegrate", a perfect quote to summarize the feel of Pain Olympics. Turn up the volume, feel the anguish. Heavy Heavy Low Low throws down scorching sonic landscape. Wonderfully difficult to categorize, these sounds traverse genres focusing on exploiting inner emotions with creative prowess. Heavy metal, punk or rock and roll angst? Regardless of influence, "Soft & Obedient" has a flirtatious groove with even more clever lyrics. The first seven selections hovering in the metal framed doorway. "Hospital Bed Blues" has a few aspects of the preceding selections, but sets down more as a ballad. This is short lived since the following track "Costco High" could be the fastest and most crystalline. The metal grooves pointing outward the entire way until the final philosophical track "Pile of Dead Dogs". Maybe we are nothing?
Released on Already Dead Tapes in three editions. Red is a limited fifty run, black is the standard and blue is for the tape club. Black shells are currently available from the label.
