P'derrigerreo - A/V Version
The creative foam has surfaced for P'derrigerreo on this perfectly rolling boil of a composition titled A/V Version. Was playing this on low volume at my work desk and fellow work mate's tolerances shattered hard by the last track Lex Dura, Sed Lex. So, it is known this body of work crescendos with a wonderful amount of well built delightful mayhem. There is a difficulty in describing these sounds, they slip past being music and there is to much constructed fluidity to be noise. Similar and in resemblance to the point just before falling asleep when thoughts are lost to thinking and what runs through the head seems to come from somewhere else. A/V Version is an absolute pleasure to wander through. A strong current of sonic craftsmanship sustaining a flotilla of melodies, samples, noise, conversations and mystery. This is the third time a P'derrigerreo release has passed though Lost in a Sea of Sound. Each composition is really different, with A/V Version being the most turbulent but at the same time the most composed.
This album is released on compact disc by the Tokyo label Zappak. Physical copies are currently available from the label's bandcamp page. P'derrigerreo is the ongoing project by G Patrick Foley and Pierre Plantevin. They have a small list of other artists who helped in the making of these sounds over a four year period; Natalie Franzen, Derek Bascom, Jesse Vear, Fiona, Gla, Lex, Liv, Christine Mitchell, Michelle Faulkner. Thanks to everyone and Zappak, really a cool composition that has more to discover with every new listen.
