"Oh My Gosh"... have always wanted to start witting off by saying this and after over ten years.... made it happen. Saudara Tua, the title track, name of the project, and name of the album is absolutely one of the skillfully beautiful and gorgeously created selections in a long memory. A culmination of bowed drone, rhythm clashes and soul stirring Carnatic style vocals touching on Tuvan throat singing... Stunning raw and succulent creativity. Feel fortunate to have listened to enough music from different places and times from around the world. This helps to have the presence of mind opening up the understanding of how magically unique this single selection is. Hopefully this does not overshadow the entire composition, every listen has been complete enjoyment from start to finish. This release holds mystery and touches across the boundaries of worldly influence.
Saudara Tua is the duo of Rahul Jigyasu, an educator and music Composer based in New Delhi & Aldo Ahmad, a percussionist, multi-instrumentalist, improviser and sound artist from Indonesia. This is a cassette release on Eh? Unfortunately it looks as if copies are currently sold out.
