Rob Collier - Music from Byrdcliffe Volume 1: Arriving/Leaving

Sometimes there is difficulty with written description for music. Conveying a description for sound and feeling melodies impart is a hopeful quality in thoughtful words. Connecting the reader and the artist, adding a gentle push to listen and discover by individual accord, all central to taking the time to listen, write and share. Sometimes the music is purely simple and beautiful. Piano being played with patience and gorgeous tone. Rob Collier writes a very good background on how this music came to be. All ready to read on the Ephem-Aural bandcamp page. What can be said here is simple focus from this listener and is not without many listens of Music from Byrdcliffe Volume 1: Arriving/Leaving. This composition dreamy but not ethereal. A serene thoughtfulness envelopes with each listen, transposing current conditions with a place of reflection and pondering. A somber undertone seems to abide, but this is not without eddies of joyful up welling. Dispersed notes, reflecting the quality of time and eventuality, are the earnest creative qualities finding deep holds in the conscious. Music from Byrdcliffe Volume 1: Arriving/Leaving is captivating with each and every listen.
