Swartz et - Desert Meditations
Grounding vibrations and astral swell, we live in polarities hinged by the mortal coil. Sounds relay this dichotomy, providing mesmerizing aspects of the multi-state within one prolonged passage. Desert Meditations has captured favor. Pleasantly rumbling earthen betrothed drones with a slowly shimmering aurora within the consciousness. Hearts in love, mind finding ease, these sounds procure nourishment for thought. Desert Meditations is more than the physical aspects it requires to be. This sonic conduit connects swirling properties of everyday life with places of higher thought.
Swartz et is the project of Steve Swartz. He has been creating music for well over a decade and has a few cassette options available from his bandcamp page. Desert Meditations is the newest release from the first week of April this year. With ten tracks coming in at around seventy minutes, this is a mammoth composition allowing long moments to find solace in the energized responsibilities surrounding us. The tonal quality from Swartz et on this composition has emphasis on meditative ambient work from the early 2000's. This is especially good since there will be a point in the future where this movement will be recognized as something extremely special.
Released by Swartz et on cassette on what looks like his own label UTTER EAST. Full color fold out inserts with photography from southeastern Utah where the passages were recorded. Cassettes are crystal clear shells with screen printed track titles. The overall look is striking and gorgeous. Steve is from Detroit, where all things are made true.
