Somnoroase Păsărele - ZEET

Rhythms of forward movement. Driver ants in a long column of fifty million, an exponential amount of legs in cadence across the traversed terrain. There is a purpose blurred deep within the repetitive beat.  A drone of percussive sound like the inner workings of geared watch. Tiny sprockets meshed with larger and smaller counterparts, the forward movement synchronous with the Somnoroase Păsărele conscious. With an opening of impactful detail, the composition titled ZEET burrows deep into a myriad of heavier rhythms. A sonic odyssey striking a path for the rumination of thoughts at many levels.

Somnoroase Păsărele is the long running project of Gili Mocanu. This recent release titled ZEET is the twentieth composition since Gili Mocanu started the project. Four lengthy tracks all titled as anagrams of the release title. The entire composition cresting over just around an hour. The balance from start to finish can easily be described as classically symphonic in construct. The first track ZEET, an allegro of details as described above. The next selection TEZE has a slower tempo, an andante of monastic ceremonial summoning. TEZE drifts from it's beginnings into a cacophonous world of ritualistic frenzy. Following this is the third track ZETE, a slow dance or minuet staying true to a fanfare of courtly splendor. TEEZ is the last selection, a heavy allegro filled with electric guitar and ominous sonic might. Gili Mocanu shares his ability to crumble the fringes of where listeners seek to listen,  fortunately in such a sublime way, returning for more has been a long running constant.

Released in cassette format on the Bulgarian label Mahorka. This is a limited edition of sixty and currently copies are still available.
