Concepción Huerta - The Earth Has Memory

Lost in a Sea of Sound most appropriately beginning another year of attempted written descriptions with a new Elevator Bath release. Transmitting a heavy rumble and crystalline sonic luminosity, The Earth Has Memory is slowly warming up to fill the spirit. A duality of mesmerizing waves and vibrations reaching deep into both the micro and macro reality we perceive. Thoughts are pulled towards the planetary core revealing an aural density of reverberating fractals. Simultaneously these sounds skim the outermost reaches of solar systems. Like a grandiose comet returning to a physically detectable distance, The Earth Has Memory possesses an untouchable allure we experience safely distant from it's internal conflagration. Monumental, stirring and imaginative resting behind a diaphanous veil of ethereal vibrations. This composition is fully accelerated.

A Concepción Huerta full length composition on vinyl is a beautiful offering and Elevator Bath is the first label to reach this zenith. With cassette releases on multiple labels and many projects with talented artists, Concepción Huerta is a veteran of sonic creations. But this is just part of her creative en devours, visual artist, photographer, creativity in most everything touched. Listening to The Earth Has Memory is a fascinating step towards discovering the refined talents of this artist. But before going on to explore Concepción Huerta's diverse innovativeness, really turn the volume up and sink into the composition at hand. Seven selections fueled with moving energy deep within the celestial core. A place where time and magnitude elude comprehension. Fortunately the sounds within The Earth Has Memory help form the imagination of the Earth's formation and the vibrancy it continues to hold.

Scheduled for release on February 2nd, 2024, Elevator Bath has two versions of this gorgeous body of work. There are one hundred editions on clear vinyl and two hundred on black. Both versions include a full color photo inside and cover artwork by Magaly Ugarte. Mastered by James Plotkin with design by the label curator Colin Sheffield, this release is saturated with love and talent in every aspect.
